Kinzley updates

For those of you who we don't see often, Kinzley has been doing a lot of growing! She is now crawling crazy fast and walking along anything she can hold onto! She says "MAMA", "DADA", and loves to say "NANA" while shaking her head no!! She eats anything and everything including sharing pizza with daddy! She loves to dance (bounce) to music! Finally she loves to cuddle!!! she has never cuddled since day one :( until now!! she loves kids especially Seiler!! She loves going outside and sometimes cries when going inside!! she smiles and laughs all day!!! She sleeps 12+ hrs a night and takes 2 1-2hrs naps during the day! She loves her crib which makes naps and bed time super easy... Best of all she is truly a blessing to have and be around!! We love her and wouldn't change a thing!!

Auction

Grandma and Grandpa had their auction today and we all went out to get in on the action!! I came home with lots of goodies. Daddy got the backhoe he wanted, and Mom got lots of stuff too! It started at 9a.m. and ended at 2p.m. We were all so exhausted! Gma and Gpa made out really really nice! The house is oddly bare!

Surgery Success

Grandma Rose had the last of her eyes surgeries to correct her cataracts! She had to wear her sun glasses all day today, and apply eye drops for a week, but is doing great! Kinzley and I met her and mom for lunch after her surgery. Then, we went with them to her follow up exam.... She passed!

My friend Jennifer Brown had a baby girl April 8th while we were out of town! We went to go meet little Maddison today! She makes Kinzley look soo big! Jen said Maddie is already 9lbs!

Easter

Easter was a little different this year! We had regional Conference. Josh and I went to the Springfield stake building with Mimi and Papa! It was GREAT, we got to see the Prophet on Easter! Afterward we went to Jennifer's house to see Josh's family! Then, Josh went to give his sister Janae a blessing at the hospital, Kinzley and I visited with grandma McBurnie, Aunt Jina, and Aunt Jennifer in the waiting room! Unfortunately I left my camera at home so I didn't get any pictures of this! But it was great none the less! I love Kinzley's Easter outfit mimi got her, it's hard to notice but she has the cutest purple leather shoes that match!!

Josh and I decided to have an Easter Egg hunt for some of our friends at church! It was tons of fun! the kids really enjoyed it! Ryann said because she was the oldest she would help the little kids!! I thought that was so cute!!

Disney World

So we decided to spend Springbreak at Disney World! We rented a house in Kissimmee, which was seven miles from the parks! It was a four bedroom, two bath with a pool!!! It was a great trip! Kinzley was the best baby EVER! She never fussed and sleep great every night! Ryann and Seiler said it was the BEST vacation they've ever had!! They woke up early every day so they could swim and passed out every night on the way home! We went to each of the four amusment parks at least once, Magic Kingdom twice! Sunday we watched conference then drove to the beach til dark! We were so exhausted by the end of the trip!

Aunt Evey and Uncle Richard love the MSU Lady Bears. They get season tickets every year!! It was only necessary that they get Kinzley aka "Little Evey" a lady bears' outfit! We put it on her when we went over for brunch! Uncle Richard got out their signed lady bears' ball and took pics!!Uncle Richard enjoyed sitting in the sunroom with Kinz as she watched the fan!! (yes the fan, she has an obsession!)

Kinzley is too cool for school... and gets all the looks!! I took her to the mall and couldn't even get any shopping done! People stopped me every where... "She is sooo cute!'', "Honey look at that baby!", "My daughter told me I had to come over and look at your baby!" etc... and I can't even tell you how many people asked "Where did you get that bow?" It was almost scary! Back up off my kid! LOL!

Kinzley has been sleeping for 8 plus hours for a while now... I normally put her done at 10pm so she wakes up between 6:30 and 7am. Then she goes back down until 10am, so I try to get in my shower or anything I need to do while she sleeps... Because I'm up early I get top enjoy this beautiful view out my back window!! I love It!!

After much research and consulting we decided to have Kinzley get her shots today! I made Josh go with me because I knew I couldn't handle to see her in pain! She was so happy all day until of course when they pricked her! She screamed so hard she stopped breathing for a minute!! It was horrible... I feed her to calm her down and then she cuddled with daddy! She seemed a little drugged the rest of the day but was pretty good none the less!

She came early but we still had a shower! Some women in my ward at church really wanted to throw me a shower! I decided it would be best to do it when my sisters could come! Brittany let them do it at her house, she even decorated with mom and my help! There was tons of food, people and fun! I wanted to make Kinzley an outfit for her special day... Brittany liked the idea and asked if I'd make Ryann one to match! So with her help I did! My Aunt Karla and Grandma Rose made the diaper cakes! I thought they were so cute!

First Dr. visit

This is Dr. Metch our Pediatrician. Kinzley did very well today! She weighed 6 lbs 14 oz. which means she has gained 1 lb since she left the hospital! She is below the 10 percentile for her weight and head circumference but she is in the 15 percentile for her length. Very long but skinny!! But the Dr. says she is strong and growing healthy! My milk is rich and helping her gain weight wonderfully!!

This is the best Christmas ever! Baby is doing great and we got to take her home. Getting Kinzley ready for her first adventure into the world... Going home! She looks adorable in her Christmas onsie!They brought us a stocking with baby goodies in it! 23 years ago my mom brought me home from the hospital on Christmas day... in a stocking! We just had to put her in hers!First Family Picture! (I know... I don't look like I belong!)Daddy got to buckle her all up!Mommy got to carry her out!It was a beautiful day, Sunny with a slight breeze.When we got home the dogs were so happy to see us! Josh brought Chueca over to Kinzley to get them acquainted. After we got settled mom, dad, Josh, Kinzley, and I opened our presents! Kinzley got this soft little chair for her new room! Josh got Rock Band 2 and I got a cricut! (an electric die cutting machine) We got lots of other nice things too, but I think our gift from God was the best!

Welcome Kinzley Evelyn Gorham

The nurse called today and said my test results were not good! The Dr. wanted me to come in right away and I was very possibly going to have a baby today! I immediately told Josh and he got sick to his stomach! He was so nervous! Mom took me to the Dr. because Josh had some work he needed to do this morning. They got me right in and made me lay down for 10mins before taking my blood pressure which was 149/90 which is normally 119/90! My protein level had raised 3 points in a day! I was also dilated to a 4! Dr. said I was very critical if he waited any longer to induce my blood pressure could explode during delivery or I could even seizure... But if he did induce today the baby would go straight into NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) and be there for 10 days! I told him I trusted him to make the choice, he tried to prepare me for what it would be like to have my baby in NICU and how hard it would be to leave the hospital without my baby...

I went straight down to Labor and Delivery at 12:30! They started me on Oxytocin which starts your contractions and helps them to get strong and regular. I had not had any contractions. The contractions started and were not as bad as I had thought they would be. I waited until they were 2 mins apart to get my epidural. I was still on bed rest due to my high blood pressure and I wasn't allowed to have any visitors, I had to have the lights dimmed and I could only watch TV with low volume... boring!! but time went by faster than my Dr. thought, when I left his office he told me I probably wouldn't have her until midnight or even the next day! But my contractions reached 2 mins at around 6. The Anesthesiologist came in and started my epidural, this was the first I felt any pain, and it was the worst pain I'd ever had. Josh was in the room with me and my body started to shake, tears pored down my face, and Josh almost hit the floor... he has a weak stomach and seeing me in that amount of pain made him sick! After she was done poking at my back the pain let up. The nurse checked me and I was dilated to a 5! Brandon my brother-in-law snuck in and him and Josh gave me a blessing. It was beautiful and the spirit definitely filled the room.

The Dr. came in at about 6:30 and broke my water. The epidural kicked in and my lower body started to numb, then I started feeling lots of pain again. The nurse was worried and noticed the epidural had stopped releasing meds, the numbing started to wear off! I could feel the contractions and they were way worse than before! The nurse set me up in the bed to speed up dilation, no longer than 10 mins later I felt tons of umbarrable pressure. The nurse checked me and I was already dilated full plus 3! Everything seemed to be going fast! Then I started pushing... I pushed only 7 times and She was born! Everyone said it was so fast and I did very well, But it was the worst pain I've ever experienced. As soon as it was over I felt so much better!!! At the end the Dr. told me "reach down and take your baby!" It was amazing I got to reach down and pull her out! I placed her on my bare tummy and they cleaned her while I warmed her little body! She lay there about 30 mins. She would open her right eye and peak at me then close it again... It was amazing! She is so beautiful! Josh got to cut the umbilical cord! She was born at 8:12pm weighed 6 lbs. 4 oz. an was 20 1/4 inches short!We sadly waited to see them come and take her away... but her nurse said she was perfect and they didn't take her!!! Around 9:00 pm we made it up to the Maternity Ward and shortly after that our room was filled with anxious family members!!! What a Wonderful Day!

Ultrasound

I went in for an ultrasound and more tests today! The baby is great but the Dr. is worried about me! My protein level is rising and I'm retaining more fluids! But he wants to wait as long as possible before inducing! He thinks she is about 7 1/2 lbs. and he says she has long legs! :) They took blood and urine and sent me home... only to be back in two days fro more results and testing!

36 Weeks

I'm supposed to be on bed rest but I decided it wouldn't hurt to at least go and take the sacrament! So I did just that! I don't know if you can tell in this picture, but I am so swollen! My face, my hands, and mostly my legs and feet! I feel like I've been stung or bug bitten all over! I can feel the fluid consuming me! lol!

Stress Test

Went in today for the Stress Test the Dr. ordered... They hook me up and monitor the baby's heart rate and other things! I was only there for a short while, Baby is doing great!

Being on Bed Rest totally put a damper on my big day, Josh and I were going to spend the whole day together doing fun things! Due to my situation he went to work! I wasn't feeling to good anyway so I rested most of the day! I didn't let it keep me from going out for my Birthday Dinner! Brittany, Brandon, Seiler, Ryann, Mom, Dad and Josh all took me out! We went to OHanna Japanese Grill! Our server was great, the kids really made it tons of fun! We ate, laughed, and I got to open presents! Josh got me the Yellow Kitchen Aid mixer I've been wanting, B&B got me and attachment for it, Ashley sent me two vintage decor Books and M&D got me a beautiful necklace/earring set and a new Coach Bag!! I scored big time this year! Thank you to everyone who has made my day special!

I had to go back today to get the results from my tests... Dr. said I am headed towards Preeclampsia!(click the word to learn more) The protein level in my urine is too high! He said it is very dangerous for me and If it gets worse they will have to induce... but he thinks it's too soon for the baby! He checked my cervix again and I am already dilated to a 2 and 80% effaced! Dr. said the baby will probably be here by the first of the year! He wants to try to keep her in there as long as we can! Still on Bed Rest, I have to go in Saturday for another stress test and do another 24 hr urine collection! I go in for an ultrasound on Monday! Still very swollen and Sweating like a pig!

Pregnantcy update!

I started swelling Thursday last week and it just kept getting worse. I tried staying off my feet throughout the day but still they wouldn't let up! Sunday, everyone tried to get me to stay home from church to stay in bed! I almost did since none of my shoes seem to fit! But I figured I'd be sitting down most the time so what was the harm! During the first hour of Church I got really over heated and had to make a mad dash outside for some cold air and to chug some water! I was affraid if I didn't I would have passed out! It was a little scary! After all this I still just thought no huge deal! I've heard of pregnant people being swollen and people have been warning me about hot flashes the whole time! Sunday night I was up all night with the most unforgiving migraine! No amount of rubbing, pressure on pressure points, Tylenol or even closing my eyes would give any relief! Laying down actually made me feel nauseous! By morning the head ache calmed but never went completely away! I called my Dr., he told me to come in right away! I went in today at 9:15! They took three viles of blood, checked my cervix ( I am almost dilated to a 1), gave me supplies for a 24 hour urine collection, and put me on high risk Bed Rest! But first he sent me down to Triage for a non stress test and a shot of Demerol for my migraine! It was about 11 and I had not eaten since before going to the Dr. I was very nauseous! It took 2 hrs to get the results they wanted from the test and finally gave me the shot and sent me home.... After five mins the effects kicked in and I felt really druged! As I tried to make it out to the car I got really dizzy and threw up in the lobby before I could make it out! Mom took me straight home and I passed out!

To make a long day longer.... When I woke up my headache shortly returned! Mom called the Dr. to inform him about my being sick and to see what I could take for my head... Dr. said "Go straight back to Triage right away!" not what I wanted to hear! We were there from about 4-7!

Today I went to the Dr. for the monthly visit! My tummy measured 34 cm which means I've only grown 1 cm in three weeks. Normally you grow 1 cm per week! I did my homework from my last apt. The Dr. was not thrilled! I was supposed to count how many times the baby moves for 30 mins after my largest meal! Dr. says the average was 30-40 times! I did the homework but she averaged 14 moves in 30 mins! And Yesterday she only moved 2 times the first 30 mins and 4 times the second! ( if she doesn't move at least 3 times in the first 30 mins then i have to do it again, if she doesn't move at least 3 times in the second 30 mins I'm supposed to go to the emergancy) Needless to say the Dr. was worried and sent me straight to Triage! There they hooked me up to machines that read her movements! It took an hour and half to get the number they wanted! What a long day!

First Snow Fall!

Today we woke up to this! It is so beautiful! This is Cally's first snow! Chueca likes snow but she gets so cold so last year we got her some sweaters. Even though it is unbelievable, she actually runs to her sweaters when it's cold outside! So I put it on her! Cally wouldn't stop biting at Chueca's sweater, so I put one on her too!

Thanksgiving 2008

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday! What a blessing it is to have a day where we can all get together and remember what we are thankful for! And this year we have so much to be thankful for, we are so blessed! Josh and I decided to have thanksgiving at our new house this year! His family had not seen our house so we thought it would be a great way to let everyone see our new place! We ended up with a total of 17 people! It was great! The weather couldn't have been more perfect! It's already been below 3o here so I was worried but it was a beautiful day! We set up tables out on the back porch and ate outside! Everyone enjoyed themselves! We ate, watched the game and talked all afternoon. Josh set up the Wii in the back room so him and Caleb could entertain the kids! Mom and Brittany cooked the Turkeys, I made sweet potatoe casserole and fruit and veggie trays! Brittany, Mom and I also made all the pies! Brittany made Lemon Meringue, I made Cherry, mom made Pecan! Yum Yum! There was tons of food, which means lots of left overs! Myu favorite part of the Holiday! Turkey sandwiches!

Cup O' Cheer Homes Tour

Every year the Ronald McDonald House puts on the Cup O' Cheer Homes Tour. People open their homes to those who purchase a ticket, local stores and shops donate their time and decorations to go into these homes, which are mostly mansions, and decorate them for Christmas!My Aunt Evelyn, Grandma Rose, mom, Brittany, Josh as our schofer, and I go every year! It is lots of fun! there are 5 houses plus you stop by the Ronald McDonald House to have sweets and a hot cup o' tea. (we don't drink the tea, of course) But every year they feature a different tea cup and the first 1500 people to buy their tickets get to take their tea cup home! There is also a big tent set up outside the Ronald McDonald House, shops donate things and they have a silent auction! This is one of my favorites! you can get really neat stuff for cheaper!

The Wise Man Built His House Upon the Rock!

Tonight for Family Home Evening Josh taught the kids about making good choices vs. bad choices. He went all out, he built a mini house on a clay rock and one on a pile of sand. I wished I had a video camera with me when the kids were answering questions, they are smarter than we realize, they do listen when we teach them! Then, as the kids sang the song about the wise man and the foolish man Josh poured water upon each house. As you can imagine we watched the house on the sand wash away, and the other didn't move! After the lesson, we let the kids build their own houses! They spent hours perfecting their projects! They did such a great job! It was so much fun for them and fun for me to watch! click on the pics to view larger!

I think I'm getting huge! I don't want to get any bigger! my legs can't support much more weight in the front! Josh has to message them every night cause they just throb! no matter what shoes i wear heels, flats, tennis shoes.... my legs are not happy to carry around the extra weight!

My Little Helper!

Mom asked if I'd make a pie to go with dinner tonight, so I got my sous-chef and we made a delicious blueberry pie! It looks great don't you think? Ryann was very good at rolling out the crust, she even helped me lift it, she chose and cut out the hearts for the top and helped spread the milk so we could add some sugar! She is such a great little baker!

My first baby is growing up! It seems like I've had her forever sometimes yet I can't believe it's been 3 years! I got her for Christmas 2005. She was 6 weeks old and weighed less than 1 lb, now she weighs 23 lbs!! She has brought so much joy to my life! I never knew I could love a dog as much as I do! Happy Birthday Princess!

Best Spot Remover EVER!!

My life as a housewife just got easier! I was out garage sale looking with my mom and she asked this lady what she used to get out baby stains! The lady said she used this PreSpot from Melaleuca! I was stoked, my brother-in-law Kristofer happens to work for Melaleuca. So I called up my sis and insisted she send me some! (You have to be a member to be able to buy their stuff!) Any way she sent it and I tried some on Josh's work clothes, he gets a lot of grease and dirt all over him when he installs gaurdrail and all kinds of crud when he fixes air conpressors! I already use OxyClean in everey load and it gets most things! But PreSpots gets it all!! His shirts were almost like brand new! It even got the spots out of clothes that had alsready been laundered and dried! It's amazing! I'm ordering a case!!

Went to the Dr. Today and I measured 33 cm which is a little big! I've been drinking a lot of milk to help with the heart burn, but I don't think I'm going to be doing that any more! I believe it has contributed to packing on the pounds!!! I've gained a total of 26 lbs!! I refuse to gain too much more! Dr. has given me homework, I have to record how many times she moves for thirty minutes after my largest meal! She doesn't really move much so lets see if I stay awake trying to count!

FHE painting!

What a beautiful pumpkin! Josh and I wanted to do something to make my big belly memorable! We thought to keep in season we should paint a pumpkin! Brittany, Josh and I all contributed to this rare piece of Art! It was so much fun and we will forever remember this FHE. The kids also wanted to paint, but we had another project for them. Ryann and Seiler helped paint my kitchen and living room, but I also wanted them to have a part in making the nursery so I gave them some pink and brown paint and told them to paint a bear! These are the masterpieces we ended up with! They are GREAT! ( Seiler painted a brown bear and a pink bunny)

Seiler likes to have sleepovers with Uncle Josh. He really wants to go camping but it's so cold. Josh set up the tent in the living room and they camped out! Seiler was so tired he passed out in mid sentence shortly after crawling into his sleeping bag!

The house is starting to feel like a home! But I couldn't stop without putting up some Fall Decor! Just when I think i got this house they way I want it, I open another box and find more stuff I've forgotten I had. It's almost like an early Christmas! Nothing makes it feel like a home more than having family there! We often go over here and cook dinner! It's fun using the new appliances! Josh spoiled me big time with all new GE Profile appliances! Now I just have to figure out how to use them right! You know how every stove cooks differently etc! I would hate to go to all the work to make dinner and have it burn! :)

Trick or Trunk

We did not get into costume but we did dress up! We went over to the church for the annual Trunk or Treat activity! There was a really big turn out, lots of friends came! Josh and I enjoyed sitting by the car passing out candy! The kids were having such a great time, and they were all dressed so cute!

My dog cracks me up! She is so spoiled and she does not even know how good she has it! Mom and I were laying in my bed and Chueca got too excited so i put the blanket over her and made her lay done, she got calm. Mom and I were talking and all the sudden we hear her snoring... It was just too funny!

My friend Tiffany's baby Brody had his first birthday today! It was quite the bash for a little tot! there were tons of people and tons of food! But still it seemed like Brody was in his own little world, the people didn't seem to bother him at all, if he was eating he was happy! They gave him a big piece of cake and let him go to town! It was messy! Uncle Josh helped give him a bath it was cute! We got him three cute outfits from Gymboree!! They make him look like a stud!

Shopping Day!!

Mom and I went to Branson to go shopping today! We were talking and realized we had not gone to the Outlet Malls all summer! So we got up early and headed to Branson! We got tons of stuff! Shhhh... don't tell our husbands! They were having all kinds of great sales! Plus it was Breast Cancer Awareness so for each item, if you donated $1 you would get an additional 25% off, at every store!! It was great! I love my mom and spending time, just hanging out isn't something we get to do very often! So the chores and errands were put off for another day, but it was well worth it!

More Blood Tests

Today I had to take the sugar test, where you drink the juice and they test your blood! Fun, fun!! I past the blood sugar level part but I am anemic, which means i have really low iron in my blood! Can't say that I'm shocked, I've always had low iron and it runs in the family! My tummy measured 25 cm! Everything is still sailing smooth!

Boy Scout Hike

The Boy Scouts take my husband away from me again! I'm kinda getting used to having one weekend a month to myself! The boys had to go on a 5 mile hike, hope Josh is up for it! He has been working really hard all week long and he's been so tired! He has a lot of fun with the boys though so it shouldn't be too bad! I'm just glad it's not me having to haul all that gear around!

Tina Turner

My mom's aunt Evelyn loves Tina Turner and this year is her final tour, so we all took her to go see Tina! Josh , Brittany, Grandma Rose, Aunt Evelyn, mom, and I all drove to Kansas City got a hotel and saw Tina Turner in concert! It was just tons of fun being with the girls, and Josh of course! We all got super cute and headed down town near the Sprint Center. We got something to eat and as we were walking over to get in line we saw tons of people dressed up like Tina!! it was great! Man 68 years old and the lady can move!! I hope I can still dance when I'm there!

Trip to Memphis

Papa Gorham was sealed to his bride Mary today in the Memphis, Illinois Temple! Josh had to work yesterday so we decided to wake up really early and drive this morning. Leaving with only enough time to get there on time... was a big mistake, about an hour into the trip we got a flat tire! Josh pet on the donut and we wobbled into the closest Tire and Lube! there was an hour wait so we decided to keep on moving and call some places ahead of us! We finally got to a Wal-mart with no wait, but we were still there for an hour!!! By this time Josh's dad had called and said they were going to wait for us. Everyone else was waiting in the sealing room when we got there! We felt horrible! It was a beautiful day none the less!

Our Anniversary

We've made it through the first year!! It is so hard to believe how fast time goes by! Tonight was so nice, Josh and I haven't had a night to ourselves in a long while. There is always something going on around here! We went out for dinner and a movie! Then, we came home and ate a piece of the top of our cake! Today we had the complete ultrasound! Everything is great! I measured 22 cm, Dr. says she is growing a little faster than normal... doctor says at this rate she will be 8lbs! not exactly what i wanted to hear! We were hoping for a small but healthy baby!! But we will love her even if she grows to be 9lbs! (pictures top to bottom: Face, Arms, Legs)

Womens day out

Mom, Brittany, Jennifer, and I went to St Louis to take part in the Time Out for Women that Deseret Book puts on. It was a ton of fun! We got a break from cooking, laundry, and cleaning. We were spiritually enlightened and got to learn more about those who write the books and sing the songs sold at Deseret Book. It was great!

Today i felt the baby move for the very first time!! It was so neat! People have been asking me if i could feel movement for weeks. I was starting to worry that maybe something was wrong, the doctor said I probably felt it but just didn't recognize it as that! who knows! I'm just so excited I got to feel it today!!!

I've been really sick, the doctor gave me two weeks leave from work! We are having an early ultrasound to make sure the little one is ok! it's still a little early but the tech said she is 90% sure it is a girl!!! Let the shopping begin!! Today I measured 17 cm!

New House

Josh and I found a great house! It sits on an acre of land and it's only a few streets away from mom!! It needs some TLC but with mom and Brittany on my team that won't be too hard to tackle! Lonestar and the fair

While Ashley and the girls are here the fair is in town, We got tickets to see Lonestar! Some of the kids enjoyed it but not all. Sloane was so excited about the rides she wanted the concert to be over soon. After the concert we did take the kids to ride rides but also to play games! With the help of uncle Josh all of the kids got tot play a game and win a prize! Ryann got a Hanna Montana guitar, Seiler got a remote controlled car, Sloane was thrilled to claim the big stuffed black spider man, and Micah got a huge pink monkey! Ashley was so glad for uncle Josh at that moment! At the end of the night we were all exhausted but it was soo much fun!

Lake Day

Ashley and the girls are in town and you know what our favorite pass time during the summer is...
going to the Lake and so when people come to visit we always make the trip!! This time we stayed over night at our friend's lake house! it was so nice to wake up with such a beautiful view! Josh and I woke up early and started breakfast, Ryann woke up and decided to help. Slowly everyone else woke up and the kids were so excited they just wanted to go on the boat so bad they eat their Breakfast fast! With Josh as our Captain, like usual, the kids would yell "Faster!! Faster!!" Mostly everyone took turns on the rafts and skis. Josh , Brandon, Ashley, and the kids took turns on the cliffs!Emie was so cute! she was probably the most excited! She loves her glasses and would cry if anyone tried to take them off!!

Boys' 5 Day Canoe Trip

Josh went on what was supposed to be a 6 day canoe trip with the boy scouts. They had so much fun they finished a whole day early. It was hard for me I missed Josh sooo much and he barely had good reception at any of their stops so I only got to talk to him a short few times! Mostly I was bored! I did get in some ME TIME which was kinda nice but I still missed my good night kisses and prayer partner!

I've been really tired lately and not feeling quite myself, This morning I woke up early from an urge to go to the bathroom! i was late this month so decided to take a test! Half asleep I didn't know if I was actually seeing it right! I took it to mom and had her take a look! Josh was still sleeping so we decided to suprise him, we ran to the store and got a dozen pink and blue balloons! We tied them to a white bear with the test strip and put it on the hood of his truck! he was so suprised and very very excited! I still can't believe it is true!

Shrine Circus

Took the kids to the Circus! We had to wait in line out side for a long time and it was freezing cold, but once we got inside it was nice and stuffy!! There were black elephants, Beautiful Huge Tigers, trained dogs,and a baboon! There were acrobats, ribbon dancers, hand and hand balancing, ultimate motorcycle riders!! It was really good and the entertainment was never ending! the Tigers were my favorite of course, they were funny too! One even did tight rope walking, that was really cool!! My second fav and one that I enjoy every time i go was the "wind-up toy elephant"!! For all you non Circus goers.... A clown comes out with some stuffed animals and one being an elephant... he winds them up and they don't move, but the last one, the elephant does... for a while then it falls over like dead! so he winds it up over and over again and i goes then falls over dead! But what most people don't know is that is really a really well trained dog in an elephant costume!! It is soo cute and this particular dog was the best one I've seen!! The kids all loved every minute Seilers favorite was the Amazing Ultimate Motorcycle Riders!!! He just couldn't believe they could fit six riders in that sphere and they all could ride around without hitting one another!! It was great family fun!

Our Ward helps out one night of every month to feed the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House and this month I signed up to take a salad! Well the sister in charge of who brings what came to me on Sunday and asked if I would bring a dessert instead?! This month's theme was Italian so I decided I would look up a recipe I've never tried before and see how it worked!!! Has anyone ever tried Tiramisu?? For those who have probably know that this recipe is usually made with coffee or espresso! But, I found a recipe for it without those! And it was wonderful! I made it last night and put it in the fridge all night and today until i took it tonight at 7! Needless to say I brought the dish home clean!!!
Strawberry Tiramisu

Ingredients:

4 large eggs*
2 cups Mascarpone cheese, don't use substitutes
about 36 Savoiardi (lady fingers) found at your local grocer
3/4 cup sugar
fresh strawberries for decoration

For the strawberries sauce
1 - 1/2 lbs. fresh strawberries
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup water

Instructions:

1. In a sauce pan cook strawberries, sugar and water for few minutes until the sugar dissolves.

2. Pour the strawberries in a food processor and blend until smooth. Pass the strawberry sauce through a fine mesh strainer to eliminate the seeds. Set the sauce aside until cool.

3. In the meantime beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and then refrigerate.

4. In a large bowl beat the egg yolks with the sugar until fluffy. Use an electric hand mixer or a food processor.

5. Add the mascarpone cheese to the egg yolk mixture and mix with a wooden spoon until well combined.

6. Gently fold the egg whites into the mascarpone mixture.

7. Dip both sides of the savoiardi into the the strawberry juice and place them in the cake dish (my dish is rectangular about 18" x 10"). Cover the savoiardi with some extra spoons of sauce.

8. Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers then cover this layer with
remaining ladyfingers always dipped in the strawberries sauce.

9. Complete the dish spreading the rest of the mascarpone cream.

10. Decorate with strawberries slices or if you prefer cut in half. Refrigerate for at least 6-7 hours, better yet overnight.

Tonight I was up at the church preparing for mutual. With the help of my sister I was teaching the girls how to cook a easy healthy meal! When I got there I realized I was missing some of the ingredients I needed! So, I asked my wonderful husband if He'd run to the store for me! This is what he brought back, along with what I needed!! He is just too good to me and I am amazed how lucky I am! ...to have someone who can always put a smile on my face is truly a blessing!

Couples Night!

Josh and I invited a few of our friends over to play cards! It was tons of fun they were here all night!! Cassie and Paul brought over their pup Abby and Gail and Derrick Brought over Addy! It was like a doggie party! Chueca didn't know what to think! These puppies are much smaller and younger than her plus she doesn't think she is a dog so it was interesting to see how she interacted with them!!

Ryann's Birthday Baptism

What a Beautifully lucky girl! I don't know many people who get baptized on their actual birthday! But Ryann is a lucky girl and has been since day one!! She brought this family together years ago and continues to every step through out her life!! It was great having Ashley, Emie, Corrine, and Kristofer here! The Spirit is always strong when the family gathers but it was so powerful Today!! Uncle Lee, and Uncle Josh couldn't hold the tears back as they each gave talks on baptism and the Holy Ghost! You could feel the love and power of such a specail day all around! Ryann looked like an Angel all in white, and a smile that just didn't quit! Ashley, Brittany, Corrine, and I all sang the song "Baptism." I love singing with my sisters! Brittany out did herself like she always does! There was more food than this church has ever seen at a baptism! And it was all healthy!!! :)

Orphan Annie

Annie came to Springfield! Mom, Josh , Ryann and I all went to see the musical Annie! It was Awesome! The voices on those kids are totally star quality! I was a little disappointed because there was a lot of bad language, Why would you do that in a kid show?? It's beyond me! Other than that it was a wonderful performance! Annie stole the show!! And the other orphan girls were so cute and talented as well! Ryann loved the show! As we were walking back to the car I asked her "Ryann, do you want sing like that?" she replied "Oh I can, I just don't know the words!" LOL, Wish I had that confidence!

Valentine's Day

Josh and I had a wonderful Valentines day! He spoiled me like usual!! First things first, While I was in the shower getting ready for work, I thought Josh was sleeping... I came back in my room to sit down by my mirror where I usually do my makeup and hair, and it was attacked with hearts, all over the mirror and floor!! Great suprise! I keep telling Josh that in our new house I want a big fat jacuzzi tube in the master bath because I miss taking bubble baths! So for Valentines he rented us a room with just that!! Plus he got me not only one piece of jewelry, not even two.... But 5! A necklace, ring and an earring set, and a necklace and bracelet set! All my birthstone Blue Topaz! They are beautiful!!! I was so happy with just spending a romantic night away, but I was blown away again!!! I love Him!! It's amazing how one man can be so Amazing!!
